When does a fire door need replacing?
A fire door should be replaced when damage, wear or non-compliant alterations cannot be repaired within the manufacturer's permitted scope, or when no evidence of certification exists.
We assess this independently first, so you only replace doorsets that genuinely need it.
Why does correct installation matter so much?
A fire door only achieves its rating as a complete, correctly installed assembly. Incorrect gaps, unsuitable fixings or the wrong intumescent product can reduce a tested FD30 doorset to a fraction of its performance.
Our installers fit doorsets strictly to the manufacturer's certified instructions and BS 8214:2026.
What do you hand over after installation?
You receive the doorset certification, product data, installation records and photographs — a complete evidence pack for your fire safety file and the golden thread of building information.
